This is where I disagree. The timing may not be in conjunction, but the reason is more than fair. Saddam did not meet the U.N. resolutions...10 years! He definitely made the world believe that he was up to something and he was a risk. I never here about his killings or genicide. It always seems to be that we have attacked and removed an innocent beloved human being. When did we start believing that the Hitlers and Saddam's were okay to let continue their journey?

Of course it's illegal to any reasonable person. A real easy concept to understand. Force is only legit if the persons using the force can prove it's legitimacy. In the case of the Iraq war we have not passed that threshold. There for the force we have used is not legal.
