I get tired of people comparing John to other players.Okay, we get it, you don't think he's as good. But he isn't supposed to be.He's supposed to be John Mayer, and that speaks for itself.

First off, Frusciante is a heroin addict who can barely rip off Hendrix when he's having a goo day. Second, that's your preference, I like Mayer's better. And if you want to get technical, Vai, Satriani and Petrucci can all play fast, but I don't see them writing astonishing music. And Mayer can tap and do all that. Look up his cover of Panama....

What a beautiful tone. The tone knob is rolled down.. with this nice fuzz dirt. Must be that Cornish NG-2 Fuzz . Has anyone else used this?

A lot of people do that with the picking hand. I would say that last ringing chord is more characteristic of Mayer.

They're different tones for different uses. I think Frusciante is a brilliant synthesist/guitarist.

haha, I would splurge on useless crap too, if I were that rich.

Have you listened to all the RHCP's work from start to finish with John. He is extremely versatile, Californication is all over the place as is Stadium Arcadium and By The Way. Second I'd take Derek Trucks over Mayer any day in tone. And if you want to get technical Vai, Satriani, or Petrucci would school all of the above.

John Frusciante has horrible tone. I can't believe you think his tone is even comparable to JM's. NOOB!
