I dunno, I thought the movie was pretty straightforward with it. Granted, it didn't say that April committed suicide, but "One Song Glory" did strongly imply that she was no longer among the living (implication being more that she died from the disease than self inflicted violence).

In the actual play written by Jonathan Larson Rodgers girlfriend leaves a note saying "we have AIDS" while she slits her wrists in the bathroom...most of you should see the real play, it explains more.

I wish I would have seen it earlier, but my father is a homophobe, and wouldnt allow me to rent it (no pun intended). This year, when I finally saw it, I was in love, and now know all the words to each song!

mine too! although i watched it in like 2005 w/ my friends and we all thought it was crap and just weird. but i watched it on youtube like a month ago and now im obssessed with the music!i think i enjoy the true essence of movies by myself lol.
