Emmylou said in an interview that a few weeks before Gram died she realized she was in love with him but didn't want to tell him on the phone. She was going to see him in a couple of weeks and was savoring the thought of telling him in person. She has never gotten over his death.

This is one of my first times to see footage of Gram. Taken way too soon. Had he lived its no telling the influence he'd have, if ts even possible to have more influnece then he does already. He truly is he Father of country-rock.

In this period she was dating Tom Guidera.

At this time Miss Harris was divorced, and a single mother. Gram, however, was married, and Emmy is a proper lady. All reports indicate a deep affection by both people but no overt romance.

Emmylou Harris was still married and already a mother. So while she was probably in love, it may have been unrequited.Never seen her boogie quite like this, though!
