I really like this movieOm just throwing this out there but my idea that the Emerald of the Eclipse is a fragment of the Emerald City

Return to Oz is scary this is a retelling not a sequel like that was but both are unique in retelling the stories

I thought a lot of the things they did were really clever in an original way.

Are you hoping to make the most faithful adaptation of the wiz of Oz? If so, good luck to you, just don't make the same mistake that Timothy Hines made with War of the Worlds, internal monologue should never be spoken out loud by a charecter on screen! ;D

Maybe, and you are right, nothing really could come close to "Wizard of Oz" (1925) That is probably more "unique" than this. And don't get me wrong, I give this many points for it's creativity, but I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to the Wizard of Oz. Perhaps one day, I will make the most faithful adaptation to it....

Maybe you didn't like this version because you didn't see it all the way through, having said that, there's only Judy Garland's version that comes anywhere near this, the old black & white one & Return to Oz, staring Fairuza Balk, didn't even match up to the original story!
