Rockman Mega World Topman Stage Perfect (Sega Mega Drive)

For those in the US who have never seen or played this game before, I played this perfect just to show you what Megaman looked like for the 16-bit Sega Mega Drive releases in Japan and Europe, similarly called Sega Genesis in your country. The game moves rather slowly, and the enemy response in some aspects is faster than expected. The tune is of a different beat, in some cases is crap and in others in need of an acquired taste. The sound effects is generally of a dull beat - some of which can also get pretty crappy. The new Megaman has too big a head and walks weird. The redrawn stage are nice for some and horrible for others, with an overemphasis on windows-with-clouds crap (a marketing style towards newer and younger gamers?).All in all, I've decided not to throw away my 8-bit Famicom system. Even the Ninja Ryukenden remake on the 16-bit Super Famicom had failed beforehand.

The fact that you would've gotten 3 games for the price of one back when this came out would've been amazing. Yes this version isn't as good as the NES/Famicom versions, but it isn't as bad as most people here are making it out to be. Now the one that came out in Europe was bad because the FPS was 10 less than the Japanese FPS, which made it a lot sloooooower.

It is now time for a Total Recall.

I remember playing it on an emulator like 6 years ago. I must've forgot about the gameplay.

The graphics and redrawn art is to a grudgingly large extent, pretty good but don't be fooled... before you even mention the original music that rocked harder the gameplay "experience" for this 16-bit Sega is shit.

....and sound effects.

I loved the facelift that these games got on the Genesis/Megadrive, but you just don't get that full Mega Man experience without the 8-bit tunes.

Yes, I meant X3.In regards to what version is superior, I'd have to give the nod to the Super Nintendo. To me anyway, it felt more, I don't know...pure, I guess (for lack of a better word). It's my opinion that the cutscenes and such broke up the experience too much. It just did not feel right...

I see, no problem.X3? I should think that the Super Nintendo version is ironically superior to the Sega Saturn and the Sony Playstation versions despite the lack of anime cutscenes and songs? What is your opinion on this?

*savehippos is my girlfriends account, I'm posting with mine now*I agree. Megaman X lost all credibility. However, I quite enjoyed 3. After that particular game though, Capcom really dropped the ball. They may never pick it up again...I miss the good ol' Rockman/Megaman days.

Gecko983 and savehippos, it is in my view that the Megaman X series died after X2.
