And should we be more focused on what we're wearing than what's important? It all depends on your values. As long as clothing is modest and appropriate for where you'll be wearing them, I think intelligence, etiquette, kindness/etc. are a greater issue.

If we weren't in England, I would enter!!! Apparently our uniform is 'smart'. It is just soooo frumpy!! We have to wear really long, shapeless skirts, detentions all round if anything is customized. Ble.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that your American, Canadaian, or British. I've been all throughout Europe (the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, and Austria), to Japan, to the east coast of Australia, and almost to New Zealand (long story). Europeans (not counting the UK for some odd reason) are much more fashion oriented than the US. People in this country are still wearing baggy pants for Christ sake.
