This sound is brooding and controlled. This is aptly demonstrated from 2:58-3:10 where there is a fury of sound that is calmly crafted to stay true to the genre they are actively helping to create. It isn't poppy and melancholy like their later stuff, but musically it's powerful and well constructed. They should have had their full gothy make-up regalia on for this song. It would have been appropriate. In 3 words: LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!
