Speaking as someone who was there, Soundgarden was always considered the most talented and daring of the "Seattle Sound" groups although there was no such thing. Everyone in Seattle was stunned when Nirvana hit first. Soundgarden came out of the crash punk of groups like Black Flag and others so they were never a "hair" band. To dsignrdane, the girls always liked Chris.

louder than love still the best soundgarden album in my opinion..i awake(and the story behind the lyrics are genius).awesome stuff....miles ahead of their time.
