unfortunatly, didnt go into the hard core physics and mathmatics, i stuck with what i enjoyed and my strengths, i.e. biology and chemistry, but it just goes to show, you dont need to be a mathmatical physics genius to show that the moon recession is no problem for an old earth/solar system.

9000 years ago god created india and its inhabitance, 3000 years later he created the world and the first man (cause apparently indians were neither male or female:P), 1000 years later hinduism formed, 500 years after that the mythical flood occured and god saved the hindu's (so they could go to hell later) 2000 years ago jesus came and 2008 years later here we are now.lol

oh, just to add, i worked out what the recession of the moon would have to be per year in order for it to have been touching the earth 4.6 Bya, the recession would have to be about 8.5Cm per year:P over double of what the actuall recession actually is (3.8 Cm)if your having trouble with 8th grade maths, feel free to ask for help;)

if you wish, i can re-post my calculations for your inspection, feel free to show me where i am wrong, you say the moon could never have been closer than 18,400 Km, my calculations show that the moon was more than 10 times further away than what you say it couldnt have been. |
