I just finished a class on midi, I like using digital performer and just creating songs from scratch. I prefer audio recording though thats just me. I love midi too I'm gonna check out some of your work.-Dani

now we can see how shit midi is instead of just hearing how bad it is, chesse to the max, midi is only useful for scavaging notes from songs.

I was listening to an Emerson Lake and Palmer midi file, after listening to the real thing, and looking for an orchestral version of Karn Evil 9. That got me thinking about midi visualizations and the programs that convert whistling and humming into midi files and music notation. Nice video Chris, the Midi Jam program looks very interesting. I find it amusing that people knock midi when so much of what we listen to on mp3's etc. these days is played on midi instruments. |
