It is Carl Orff "street songs-music for children" the album is amazing! It is not on cd but you can still find the album (we have it).Actually if you want to see it is is on ebay right now for the insane price of 99.00. Not worth that. You can still find it at a reasonable cost. Try libraries thrift stores or yard sales. Our little baby has been dancing and moving to the lp since he was 10 months old. The songs are ALL wonderful.

The composer of this piece was not Orff, but Gunild Keetman. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks very much for making this track available. I had first heard it in the haunting Martin Sheen-Sissy Spacek starred masterpiece of Terrence Malick, "Badlands" ... based on the real-life spree of Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate in Nebraska. I found the music piece to be highly moving and capable of evoking a wide array of emotions. It has a slow build-up to a dramatic finish, like "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" and a dance-like quality reminiscent of "The Nutcracker." Thanks! |
