Great Vid, also one other aspect of using horses is that it doesn't compact the earth as much as skidder. A skidder trail can damage the root systems of the trees all along the trail.Also I love the historical aspect of this, what a great tradition.

This is way cool! We build log homes and buy logs from commercial operators. The wood is beat up its all a production thing. Started some Belgian teams to feed cattle almost long fer the days starvin on the ranch! Got a small bandsaw mill, lotta beetle kill locally, lotta work can see the need for these horses with what we do. Great video-thanks fer posting and sharing appreciate it!!!

Fantastic! I really enjoyed it. I own a percheron that I rarely interact with. I would love to use him to skid some logs.Very nice video, well done!
