this guy doesnt have a clue what he is on about, vista 64 bit, xp 64 bit would be much more efficient without all of the shitty effects that make vista bulky you could make a beast of a system for 1000 quid with a set of speakers a monitor and keyboard/mouse.

heh on the hard drive you can get the cheaper version of raptor in raid 0 then get a terribyte hard rive for your secondary hard drive or more if you need the space and partition it how you like. my case is the thermaltake armor and i love it. the quad extreme isnt 100% nessisary, you can get a Q9450 and overclock it to 3.4-4ghz no problem, ram is cheap dw about that, id go 4870x2 for gpu no need for 2 of them and psu id get corsair 1000w modular

i just built a comp for myself.. its not crazy but it plays car fry 2 at max settings around 55 FPSthe intel q6600gskills 4gb ramseagate 500 GB600W PSUasus P5Q prodiamond radeon HD 4850antec 900 casekatana 2 CPU cooler.. at idle im at 20 degrees Cwindows XPfuture plans are to upgrade to crossfirex with another diamond HD radeon 4850 and OC my cpu to 2.8 or 3.0

You want a really cheap PC that will run that?This is in australia btw Any AMD mobo, $50 - $1008800gt $100am2 6000+ $1002gb ddr2 800 $50Corsair HX520 $100Those are the main things you need, im sure you would have a spare dvd burner, hdd and case somewhere.
