Wow. Did they consider the hydrosphere at all when making this video? I mean, honestly... Where did the water come from--that's a huge jump in water mass if the Earth was expanding. All life on Earth is dependent on water, and the first organisms on the planet were aquatic--if the Earth was a condensed ball of land, nothing would be on the surface to cool it from the sun's heat and the whole thing would dry up. This is just plain bad science... Interesting theory, but it has way too many flaws

Diamonddave, Let me be very clear, A plasma is NOT a Gas, or a type of GAS. It is another form of matter, It is IONIZED ATOMS, in which the Electrons are stripped and separated from the Nucleus, This gives us charged half-particles. not a GAS! The experiments that you speak of have to do with SANDSTONE, which solid, has NO P-wave attenuation,...and imersing it in liquid or Gas. Will a charge leap from one molecule to another? No, Nor will a WAVE. Plasma is very different, And no sandstone.

Like mountains don't have valleys, plus most mountains are not like the Andes or the Hymalayas. But animals do avoid barriers, like barbed wire so they they do the simple thing they always do in nature: Walk around it.But the thing is barb wire form miles and miles of interconnecting fences and the bumb animal keeps looking a way around it that doesn't exist. That's very different from mountain ranges. But some animals have learned to jump over it or simple knock down.

Neal; "1. MUST BE LIQUID OR PLASMA! To carry "p" waves."Since plasma is type of gas, it cannot carry P & S-waves, gases & plasma blocks P-waves, thus the outer core must be liquid Iron.See: "Attenuation of P- and S-waves as a method of distinguishing gas and condensate from oil and water""Several case studies in the literature report high P-wave energy absorption at seismic frequencies below gas and condensate pools."Gas/Plasma absorbs & blocks P & S-waves, the outer core is a liquid.

Yes you can walk around mountain ranges. Not only that, there are aslo valleys. Animal will take generation to cross, when animals look for new feeding grounds or ther population expands. They have all the time of the world to complete a cross. Not to mention migrating animals.I've done, it. When camping or hunting. The most is take me wo weeks. Hard but achivable. That's why I think you don't go out to much for you to think mountain ranges are some wall that is impassible.

As for why one side of the Earth expands more than the other; I see no evidence that states that the Earth began as a perfect sphere with a uniform matter distributed evenly throughout the entire surface. Is that even possible? How about probable? Even so, a balloon does not expand evenly throughout it's surface because it too is not uniform in it's matter or it's distribution. It make sense to me that one side of the Earth will have a weaker structural constitution and expand more on that side.

I wonder, is a growing Earth really that complicated? I've seen many laws of physics on a large scale repeated on a smaller scale. Is there really new matter being produced here, or is the matter expanding due to heat energy? In simple terms: If you take a balloon, inflate it partially and then add heat, the air molecules inside the balloon move faster taking up more room and thus increasing the pressure and expanding the balloon. Can not the same be said for the Earth and it's mantle?

Yeah... you're right! I forgot he does make huge leaps of irrationality. It astounds me.
OverlordShamala (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
No, there was mountains, I don't know where you got that idea that they aren't.Earth was even more geologically active then today with volcanoes and continents crashing to form mountains. Where you got that silly idea there were no mountains in the past?Or you simply made that up so it can fit your story.

well, overlord, if neal thinks a star still works when it is the size of the moon, its no leap at all for him to assume the same conditions can exist in the earth. |
