all you need to do is make the material sponge (heavy materials can slow it down. eg dark matter) then you tweak it and make the piston stiff then put the speed up to full with about 5 seconds pause and then use a sensor switch to make it only go off when someone jumps on it. (grab switches can be used too...)

you just make it stiff, set the min and max far apart like 0 min and 17 max, then set the time to less than a second. and it should launch you fast
