I don't see what people's problems are with this song. I think it is equal to, if not better than, UB40's version. UB40's is great, but this has more soul to it probably because the original singer was feeling pain. 5*

I think Neil Diamond is one of the greatist artists of all time. Yet, I cannot help but prefer UB40's version better. This is one of those songs better when it's in reggae and not accoustic guitar.

Yes,Tony Tribe sang the origional,and its the best version,but respect goes out to Neil Diamond,who saw the beauty in the lyrics,so you can't fault him for that.
