hello uncle ji, you have confused the diameter with the circumference. no problem i can tell you are an expert.but i have made a request on how to tune a tumbi. i used to play it like 10 years ago and i have forgotten how to. Thnkyou

generally...some are made without adjustments dowels on the base side.......don't ask why!as for the high pitch tone......try tuining it to high c(or sa). If that doesn't work.....then it depends on the size of the tall side.

I bought my Tabla in Bangalore while I was there a few years ago and really appreciate your video!! One question - I do not have the wood dowels in my large Tabla, should I? I also do not get that twang or really nice high tone on my smaller Tabla - how do I get that sound? THANKS!!!! |
