both of u have valid arguements. i agree with rasmus that the song is epic and the clips, if u think about it, do have a kind of free spirit theme, which is connected to kids because they r young, free from responsibility innocents... on the other hand i agree with greekguy, the clips r outdated and it looks cheap, but this is a fan made vid, its unofficial, without proper fundin wot do u expect... wudnt take much to improve the vid, but hey im no director or nethin, jus my opinion :D

Because it is not about the video, the music is important. I don't think MGMT really care if they are 'popular', they care about providing good music.

All these different videos creates a vibe thats "uniting" all these kind of videos and different people in this video makes it look like a free minded video, with no topbosses setting goals for the director and editors of how the video should appear, here we have a young editing talent whos only boss is himself, how greats is that ? Then Greekguy take your mainstream narrow minded thoughts and stick it up where the sun dont shine. i really dont believe you make a living editing. 15-20 yrs old ?

There is a weatherman dancing, aerobic videos from the 80s, Full House clips, street crew dancers mixed in with lip synced shots with a bad makeup job. The appearance of Bob Saget ALONE should warrant execution of the creator of this guano!How can you POSSIBLY say this is quality??? Stay away from the Final Cut Pro.

First off, let me say that for a career, I am an editor in Hollywood, California for TV shows. So I know something about creativity.Too many people these days can't see what GOOD art is. Piecing random clips together with no message is not GOOD art. GOOD art conveys a message, a mood and some continuity. FAIR art only provides one of the aforementioned. BAD art is something thrown together with not much thought--like this video. No doubt this video is art---it's just BAD art. |
