This is the latest incarnation of the HDF video. The narration has been edited to include research from a paper in Physical Review Letters (2004) which puts the size of the universe at 46.5 billion light years, not 78 billion as I originally stated. In the video narration, I round that value up to 47 billion light years.I also took out Numa Numa guy.

thess longer the universe expands thess faster it goes .... i think it was because the dark mather or something not entierly sure

as just correcting is all. Currently it's pretty definate that the universe is still expanding. we just don't know if it will ever stop expanding

I don't pretend anything, sorry if it seemed like that. Of course I'm open to any ideas, but this theory works for me and explains mysteries which haven't been solved according to the "standard" model, ie. the rate of expansion increasing, "dark energy" (or how they call it), etc.etc...

it's logical that a galaxy would orbit other galaxies. but each time you orbit the time increases (moon orbits in weeks while earth orbits in years while stars orbit most of their lives and barely move)it's most likely that if the galaxy does rotate, it dies out before even making a fraction of the journey : /

it's funny because the game Spore puts things into perspective much like this. tbh a game does what nasa takes decades working on, in a few years. kinda odd really

scientists argue over the continuation and future of the universe so don't pretend you KNOW the answer. there are three possibilities.1) if the mass of the universe does not reach a "critical mass" tehn the universe will continue to expand forever.2) if the mass of the universe is = to critical mass, then the universe will continue to expand, but slower and slower until it stops and pulls itself back in.3) if the mass is less, then the universe will (ofcourse) collapse or implode.

i'm pretty interested in this stuff. Explain..
jmartis2 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
Our universe is not as big as we think and it is non-homogenous (there is just one gravity centre). The seemingly very distant objects can actually be images of close objects because the light can orbit around the gravity centre. Our universe is also collapsing, not expanding. If anyone is interested I can explain more and post a link to website with detailed explanation, pictures and animations.

Science is just starting to conceptulize the idea, and some say, reality of parraell universes in other dimensions. Don Juan talked to Carlos Castineda about all this back in the 60's and also mentions where the Mayan Indians civilization, and many other ancient civilizations went when it was time to go. Current Mankind has learnt much, but has he also possably forgotten even more. Or to put it another way, are we all simply relearning what we already know and have simply forgotten ?

Maybe, just maybe the telescope has a limited range kinda like other optical devices of similar design. No that's impossible. We must be able to see all the way to the "end" cuz we can make rocket ships and shit. Who da men, we is.
