ditto on LYNNSON577's comments- i was there and blown away. first show i ever saw was Zeppelin in 78 in Tampa- for him to sit in w/ the Duhks for this jam was impossibly cool. i was to the right of you, but out of frame- my friend with me and i about fainted from the rush- it was that good....

no, its from Doc Watson's son Merle Watson who died years ago and they started doing this festival in his memory.

I was in the audience without my video camera and I'm so glad you got this on video! I've heard that John Paul Jones was at Merlefest a few years ago and wandered around the festival for two or three days and never got recognized. Also I think that's me in the black shirt taking pictures in the last frames of this video. Thanks Again!!
