I love Biily Macenzie's voice,I always put The Associates in the same wierd trippy catagory as Depertment S and Blamange. There's and idea of where to wander next.

Have always though this song to be seminal - beautiful. There is a bit I think that sounds like the sceaching og angels. I was so sorry to hear of his death, having lost my own mother at roughly the same time. Thank you for posting this as I have found it difficult to get a hold of this.

Jim Kerr of Simple Minds once said that Billy Mackenzies death was a tragedy as Britain had lost one of its finest ever vocalists,i had him in my taxi about 6 months before he died saying that he was moving to LA. He was found dead by his Father in his shed, unable to come to terms with his mothers death. From one Dundonian to another RIP Billy, quite simply you were unique...what a voice!!

The 1980s music is still so memorable and popular, all very different but great in their own many ways; the Associates a shining example of a league of their own. Was certainly saddened when I heard of Billy MacKenzie`s death, what a loss with that incredible vocal.

Fantastic! One of the best songs of the 80s and the best thing to come out of Dundee since the Beano.
