March 2007 - Reuters - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been told by Europe's aviation safety chiefs that it can use only seven of its 37 aircraft on flights to European Union member states.The curb, announced this week by the European Commission, follows a series of inspections of the airline's operations and maintenance in Pakistan. It means PIA, whose name has now been placed on the list of banned or restricted airlines, can use only its Boeing 777s.

I wish PIA would fly more often and more cities to the United States. It cancelled Houston and Chicago and now only operates from New York JFK. There are many Pakistanis here and Etihad and Emriates are sweeping away all the pakistanis customers away from PIA.
