The poem's about a woman locked in a tower who dies when she tries to escape for her love, Sir Lancelot. I love this song. It's deep and dramatic, and really gives feeling. While I listen, I feel like I AM the character in the poem, and many lyrics do that for me. It's also rather soothing, helped my sister fall asleep.
